For our final project during my tertiary studies, we were allocated into teams of three to re-create an existing arcade video game using complex software and 3D tools. These videos demonstrate both the creative workflow and the final build.
The iterative showreel demonstrates the process of our project each fortnightly sprint, the evolution of our game and creative choices we had to implement or discard during feedback. I have linked the footage as best I can to be synchronous with each other to display the different stages simultaneously; for ease of reference.
The development of Ikari Escape took 10 weeks. This demonstrates the hard work between the team of three which we had the pleasure of showcasing at the end of our Diploma course. Bear in mind, this was also created with the pressure of multiple assignment due dates, learning new software and tools, and internal and external stresses. Determination and support from each other and our cohort, has given us the opportunity to create our first video game remake.
Amongst all three of us, we have spread the creative workload, all contributing to 3D modeling, programming in C#, visual effects, texturing, level design, graphic design and UI, etc.
